We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our team at IBI Group. As a Senior Architect, you will be responsible for leading and managing large, complex projects and project teams, and will play a key role in shaping the creative direction of our transit architecture studio.
With a minimum of 15 years of experience in an architectural studio, you will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects and leading teams to success. You will be an out-of-the-box thinker with a talent for developing creative design ideas, and will have experience with transit and alternative project delivery models.
As a member of our senior design team, you will collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance our studio's culture for design excellence, and will lead business development efforts to drive growth and success.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and creative architect to take on dynamic and challenging projects, and to be part of a leading team that is shaping the future of transportation and urban development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage large, complex projects and project teams
- Develop and implement creative design principles to guide projects from conception to completion
- Collaborate with practice leaders and colleagues to enhance our studio's culture for design excellence
- Lead business development efforts to drive growth and success
- Client-facing role with direct interaction with clients
- Minimum University Degree in Architecture and OAA Registered Architect
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in an architectural studio and minimum 5 years' experience in leading project teams and managing large, complex interdisciplinary projects
- Must be an experienced people manager
- Experience with Transit and alternative project delivery models
- Knowledge in Transit Agency policies around the development of transit stations and transit oriented communities
- Understanding the role of developers in transit projects
- Competent knowledge of building codes and specifications
- Highly organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proactive and detail-oriented
- Analytical thinker and problem solver
