About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Little Bloomers Childcare Centre. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Implementation: Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development.
  • Engagement and Activities: Engage children in various activities, such as storytelling, singing, and craft preparation, to promote their learning and development.
  • Supporting Daily Operations: Assist with preparing snacks, arranging rooms and furniture, and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors and attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Setting: Our childcare centre is a dynamic and supportive environment that values the well-being and development of children and staff.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as repetitive tasks.
