We are a leading provider of ground service support to Canada's best airlines, operating at St. John's International Airport (YYT). Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and ensuring the smooth operation of aircraft movements.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible individual to join our team as a Ground Handler. As a key member of our airport operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft, passengers, and baggage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with airline procedures and Transport Canada regulations
  • Operate ground service equipment, including vehicles and machinery
  • Marshall and wing-walk aircraft to gate
  • Sort, load, and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plans
  • Deliver guest baggage to claim areas and unload onto conveyor systems
  • Service aircraft water and lavatories
  • Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
  • Groom aircraft, including cleaning cabins, galleys, and lavatories, and restocking lavatories with supplies
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Personal flexibility to work shift work, including early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel, and push/pull for extended periods
  • Physical ability to consistently lift up to 70lbs/32kgs
  • Willingness to work outside in all types of weather
  • Ability to wear safety wear, including steel toe boots, reflective vests, and hearing protection
  • Meet all conditions of employment, including:
    • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
    • Criminal background check
    • Valid provincial driver's license with a clear driver abstract
