Android Security Specialist

Samsung Research America is seeking an experienced Android Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Samsung Knox team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting new security and user privacy features for Samsung's mobile products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect security features for Samsung's mobile devices
- Provide expert security guidance to global development teams
- Keep up-to-date with latest security features and vulnerability reports on mobile devices
- Research and innovate security through patents
Requirements:
- 10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience in computer security and/or user privacy as demonstrated by one or more of: academic publications, academic or industry experience in security, tools developed to analyze computer programs
- Understanding of security architecture principles including threat, trust, and security models, access control and cryptography primitives
- A holistic understanding of the Android software stack, with deeper technical knowledge in Android framework security, access controls, and internals

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, and frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
