Android Security Specialist

Samsung Research America is seeking a highly skilled Android Security Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Knox security team, you will be responsible for designing and architecting new security and user privacy features for Samsung's mobile products.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop novel security and privacy features for Samsung's smartphones targeted towards end users
- Provide expert security guidance to global development teams and ensure security requirements are met through the development process
- Keep up-to-date with latest security features and vulnerability reports on mobile devices from various sources
- Research and innovate security through patents where applicable
We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in computer security and/or user privacy. The ideal candidate will have:
- 10+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor's degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience in computer security and/or user privacy as demonstrated by one or more of: academic publications, academic or industry experience in security, tools developed to analyze computer programs, understanding of security architecture principles, and knowledge of secure coding and exploit mitigations
- A holistic understanding of the Android (or alternate mobile phone) software stack, with deeper technical knowledge in Android framework security, access controls, and internals
