CIBC is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world. As a Senior Information Security Junior Consultant, you will be responsible for consulting on potential risks as well as current trends to help our technology and business stakeholders meet security goals and objectives.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity involves reviewing and interpreting requirements documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution designs to determine the feasibility of a project and its security risk to CIBC. You will also assist in executing detailed threat risk and information security assessments, deviations, coordination of penetration testing, and reporting.

About the Team

You will be part of a growing information security group that works with various lines of business and technology teams to identify potential risks and present recommendations that are practical and achievable. Your strong relationships skills will enable you to build and maintain relationships with partners from various lines of business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Risk Management: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technology and business initiatives.
  2. Consulting: Provide expert advice on information security and risk management best practices to internal clients.
  3. Delivery and Execution: Execute detailed threat risk and information security assessments, coordinate penetration testing, and report findings.
  4. Communication: Present reports to executive management and create learning and training materials for peers and junior advisory team members.
What We Offer

Requirements
  • Demonstrate experience in Information Security Risk Management, Threat-risk assessments, Vulnerability & Penetration testing, and application security development projects.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies, Cloud Computing technologies, exposure to Agile Development processes, and a security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA is an asset.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
