Mérieux NutriSciences is seeking a skilled Laboratory Sanitation Technician to join our team. As a trusted partner in the field of public health, we are committed to making food systems safer, healthier, and more sustainable.
About the Role
This position is responsible for providing essential support to the operations of our laboratory, ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Washing and sanitizing laboratory containers and equipment
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Discarding waste and cleaning and sanitizing countertops, walls, floors, shelves, equipment, sinks, and water baths
- Properly storing chemicals, reagents, and supplies
- Organizing laboratory glassware and plastics
- Decontaminating laboratory materials through the use of the autoclave
- Supporting corporate quality and continuous improvement processes
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent work experience
- The ability to follow specific instructions and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a laboratory setting with proper lighting and temperature control
- Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials
