Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Environmental Sustainability Director to lead our Western Canada team in revolutionizing residential packaging and paper recycling systems. This pivotal role combines strategy, leadership, and action to drive environmental change, fostering a circular economy and delivering measurable impact in British Columbia and Saskatchewan.

About the Role:

  • Cultivate strategic relationships to enhance our visibility and influence within the industry and broader community.
  • Develop and successfully implement provincial stewardship programs' objectives and obligations within the region, aligning with our company's strategy.
  • Oversee the provincial programs' financial and operational performance within the region, managing annual operating plans and financial performance to deliver commitments on time and within the approved budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster an inclusive, cooperative, and collaborative culture within the region, with other regions, and with the national team, demonstrating our values by example.
  2. Support our engagement, marketing, and communications goals with a focus on resident education, program awareness, strategic partnerships, and research.
  3. Lead Government Relations at a regional and provincial level, liaising with our national office on broader advocacy.

About You:

  • You have at least 15 years of experience in supply chain management, municipal and/or Provincial government, waste management, stakeholder relations or communications, organizational leadership, financial management, and reporting to a board of directors.
  • You possess expertise in contract negotiations, strategic leadership skills, proven operational management capability, results-driven orientation, and exceptional communication skills.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive estimated salary of $125,000 - $150,000 per annum.
