Regulatory Affairs Manager

At Brenntag Specialities, we are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our team in Mississauga. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with expertise in regulatory compliance to make a meaningful impact.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
- As a Regulatory Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for managing risk and ensuring compliance with legal requirements, industry best practices, management system standards, and the Responsible Distribution Canada's Responsible Distribution Code of Practice.
- You will oversee compliance with Canadian chemical control and environmental regulations that govern company activities, including CEPA 1999, the Hazardous Products Act, the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, and related regulations.
- Maintaining a comprehensive legal register for all relevant legislation and ensuring updates are captured is a critical aspect of this role.
- You will develop, document, and monitor processes related to corporate compliance, ensuring proper documentation control.
- Facilitating training and guidance for stakeholders within and outside the Regulatory Affairs department on regulatory requirements and related company processes is essential.
- Responding to customer inquiries regarding regulatory matters, coordinating with the QSHE/Regulatory team as needed, is also a key responsibility.
- You will lead the Regulatory Affairs department towards achieving departmental goals, including safety objectives.
About You:
- We are looking for an individual with post-secondary education in chemistry or a related field, preferably with experience in the chemical industry or a related sector.
- A strong understanding of the Canadian chemical regulatory landscape through education or experience is required.
- Years of experience in people management and communication skills in both English and French (written and verbal) are crucial for success in this role.
- Confidence in giving oral presentations and proficiency in using business software applications are desirable.
