Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled construction laborer to join our team at Deluxe Ventures Canada. As a construction laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, performing pre-operational inspections, and operating heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and read blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
  • Instruct apprentices and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites and operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as demolishing buildings and cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
Requirements
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Work Environment

As a construction laborer, you will work outdoors in various locations, including urban areas, and will be exposed to confined spaces, noise, dust, and heat.
