Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Deluxe Ventures Canada. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for assisting in the construction process, including loading and unloading materials, cleaning and lubricating equipment, and performing routine maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Clean and lubricate cranes and other heavy equipment
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
  • Instruct apprentices and assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Assist in demolishing buildings and cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites

Requirements:

  • Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification
  • Boom Truck Crane Operator Trade Certification
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) training
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
  • Traffic Control Person (TCP) Certification
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)

Work Environment: This is a physically demanding role that requires working outdoors in various weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and in hot temperatures.
