Job Summary

The Registered Dietitian will provide nutritional care for patients in accordance with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and hospital standards. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure effective and current dietetic practice and achieve excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Address and resolve issues in a productive and respectful manner.
  • Exercise sound professional judgment and use best practice guidelines.
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive environment for all through compliance with patient and staff safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Graduate of a recognized university program with a major in food and nutrition and successful completion of a Dietetic Internship or Practicum.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
  • Ability to work with patients on an individual basis and provide educational groups.
  • Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team to provide holistic treatment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years of clinical experience.
  • Previous experience in Mental Health.
  • Knowledge of Mental Health Diagnosis, Treatment, and Metabolic Concerns related to common Mental Health Medications.
  • Ability to speak a second language.
