We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Anishinabek Employment & Training Services. As a Support Service Administration Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our professionals across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, responding to inquiries, and directing them to the appropriate staff members.
  • Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and other records as needed.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring that calendars are up-to-date.
  • Manage physical and digital files, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
  • Support staff members with various projects, which may include research, data collection, and analysis.
  • Help plan and coordinate events, such as workshops, seminars, or conferences, which may involve tasks like booking venues, arranging catering, and managing RSVPs.
  • Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks or projects as needed to support the efficient operation of the office or department.
Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a post-secondary education program.
  • Public relations skills.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with others and to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions.
  • Ability to use computers for Word, Excel, and other programs.
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work from our office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • First Nation or Inuit.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
