About the Role:

Carpenters at ESSKAY HOMES INC play a vital role in bringing our clients' visions to life. As a skilled Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Scheduling and coordinating work on sites
  • Supervising other workers

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Ability to work in a noisy and outdoors environment
  • Reliability and team player skills
