About the Role

Scene Ideas Inc. is a leading staging rentals and custom scenery shop in Vancouver, seeking an experienced Sales and Event Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive individual to assist our sales team with the coordination of incoming sales enquiries, preparation of quotes, and tracking sheets. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multi-task, and think outside the box to provide exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Director of Business Development to respond to sales inquiries, direct requests to appropriate parties, and follow up with clients and prospects.
  • Setup complete dossiers for all quote requests, assist in creating quotes in internal sales tracking software, and handle order processing with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist the Director of Business Development in prioritizing quote requests, ensuring timely completion and forwarding to clients, and compile project information for the Operations team.
  • Maintain sales tracking documents in real-time, communicate with clients throughout projects, and gather customer feedback for after-sales support.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a similar position.
  • Proven experience in sales, with strong computer skills on PC, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • BA or BS in business administration or relevant field; certification in sales or marketing and/or working knowledge of live events or print industries would be an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and capacity to establish priorities and work under pressure.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $45,000 to $50,000 per year, based on experience and skillset.
  • Flexible schedule, with office hours from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with evenings, weekends, and overtime on job sites as necessary.
Other Information
  • This role requires a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work in our office/shop in Richmond, with occasional off-site work at event job sites or client meetings.
