Gameplay Animation Director

At TiMi Montreal, we're seeking a talented Gameplay Animation Director to join our team and help shape the artistic direction of our AAA, 3rd person, open-world game. As a key member of our animation team, you'll be responsible for defining the animation style and ensuring it aligns with our creative vision.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a cohesive animation direction that supports our game's overall vision.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to design innovative animation solutions that enhance player engagement.
- Pursue cutting-edge animation technologies to stay ahead of the curve.
- Lead the animation team to deliver high-quality, engaging gameplay experiences.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and knowledge sharing within the animation discipline.
- Direct Mocap shoots for player characters and AI characters.
- A portfolio showcasing inspiring, industry-leading gameplay animation.
- At least 8 years of professional AAA game development experience.
- Experience shipping two AAA, action games in a leadership position.
- Ability to balance form, function, and artistic style.
- Capacity to iterate based on our gameplay direction.
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to define and develop gameplay animation systems.
- A team player who can get the best out of everyone on the project.
