Property Acquisition Manager

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Property Acquisition Manager to join our Rail & Transit team in the Greater Toronto Area.
About the RoleAs a Property Acquisition Manager, you will be responsible for managing a project's property portfolio, from identifying acquisition requirements to handover, while minimizing financial, environmental, and reputational risk.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and implement Property Management Plans, addressing roles and responsibilities, processes, and procedures.
- Manage a project's property portfolio, reducing financial, environmental, and reputational risk.
- Work with the project team to identify properties requiring property management and/or demolitions.
- Lead property valuations exercises and prepare documents for project estimation.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to understand the effects on surrounding properties and offer solutions to minimize disruption.
- Identify and engage with project stakeholders, understanding their needs and pursuing their buy-in.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Property acquisition or large-scale public infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of the Property Acquisition Process for Government Infrastructure Projects within Ontario.
- Experience with or knowledge of real estate principles and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, verbal communication, and technical report writing skills.
- International Right of Way Association designation.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information System (GIS) and Geo Warehouse.
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
