SANKARS LOGISTICS INC. is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods across various locations, requiring a strong understanding of mountain driving expertise and professionalism in customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Load and unload goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods

Requirements:

  • AZ class license
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
