Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Expert to join our team at Compass Group Canada. This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and lead our kitchen staff in preparing delicious meals for our clients.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year

About the Role

In this key position, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training and supervising kitchen staff and helpers. You will also be tasked with inspecting kitchens and food service areas, maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Work Environment
