Job Summary:

The School District #22 (Vernon) is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Meals Coordinator #100. This is a 10-month, part-time position that requires a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort and distribute lunches to students in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Supervise students and provide guidance to helpers and runners
  • Manage records and lists of program participants
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 education
  • Food Safe Certificate
  • Previous experience in a similar role

Working Conditions:

This position is anticipated to work 2.5 hours per week, with a variable schedule that may include weekdays and occasional weekends. The hourly rate of pay is $24.71, plus a percentage in lieu of vacation and statutory holiday pay.

Preferred Qualifications:

Self-declared Indigenous ancestry is an asset.
