Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Chevron (Terrace). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments to employees.
  • Maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including trial balances and statistical reports, to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Will train, but prior experience in bookkeeping or a related field is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Term: Permanent.

  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
