Job Title: Tree Surgeon

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tree Surgeon to join our team at Oakstead. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, tying and securing plants, and performing various tasks related to tree care and landscaping.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions and maintenance tasks
  • Tie and secure plants, trees, and other vegetation
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn maintenance tasks
  • Rake and collect refuse, and remove litter and garbage
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials
  • Lay sod or seed, and plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees
  • Apply fertilizers and repair and maintain equipment
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
  • Perform tree removal tasks
Requirements:
  • Own transportation or ability to use public transportation
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a team environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in landscaping or tree care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependability, reliability, and punctuality
