About the Role

This is a permanent position, requiring 30-45 hours of work per week. You will be working outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. Our ideal candidate will have excellent physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads.

The successful candidate will assist with landscape constructions, tie and secure plants, weed, prune, and trim trees and plants, cut grass, rake and collect refuse, remove litter and garbage, cart and spread topsoil and other materials, lay sod or seed, plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees, apply fertilizers, repair and maintain equipment, water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, and perform tree removal tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required;
  • Previous experience in landscaping or a related field is an asset;
  • Ability to distinguish between colours;
  • Manual dexterity;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Hand-eye co-ordination;
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking;
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling;
  • Own transportation;
  • Steel-toed safety boots;
  • Cellular phone;
  • Rain gear.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses. The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 per year.
