Amber is seeking a skilled Localization QA Tester to join our team in Montreal. As a Localization QA Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our video games in Spanish (LATAM). We offer training for those without prior experience.
You will be responsible for testing games to identify linguistic, visual, and cultural issues in the localized text of various game titles on mobile, PC, and console platforms. If you have a keen eye for detail and can spot errors in language, we want to hear from you.
Your Mission:- Test video game titles and verify all text, images, and voice-over components in Spanish (LATAM)
- Find translation, contextual, cultural, and other linguistic errors in video game titles
- Report errors in a bug-tracking database and/or translation document in a clear manner
- Provide resolutions for errors reported to improve the linguistic and translated content
- Follow and respect terminology guidelines
- Cross-check issues between different languages with your team
- Report to and follow instructions from the Test Lead
- Address and escalate problems to the Test Lead
- Native-level language competency in Spanish (LATAM)
- Proof of existing eligibility to work in Canada
- Experience using mobile, PC, and console devices and knowledge of their terminology
- Passion for video games
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Professional competency in English
- Starting salary set at 17 CAD/hour
