Key Responsibilities- Assist in Laboratory Testing: Collect and process samples, perform laboratory tests, and analyze results to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
- Support Surgical Procedures: Assist veterinarians before, during, and after surgery, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment.
- Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian, ensuring accurate dosing and treatment protocols.
- Client Communication: Provide clear and compassionate counseling to clients on animal health care, addressing concerns and answering questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Research and Development: Conduct and assist in laboratory research, staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and sharing knowledge with the team.
- Nursing Care and Rehabilitation: Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals, promoting recovery and well-being.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years in veterinary/animal health technology/technician and veterinary assistant.
- Work Setting: Animal hospital with a focus on providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting.
- Personal Suitability: Client focus, organized, and team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a veterinary setting, with a strong desire to learn and grow in the field.
- Relocation Costs Covered: We cover relocation costs to ensure a smooth transition to our team.

- English Language: English is the primary language of communication in our hospital, with opportunities to work with a diverse range of clients and animals.
