Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Driver to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient collection and disposal of waste and recyclables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a DZ vehicle to collect and transport waste and recyclables to designated facilities.
  • Perform daily pre and post trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Complete assigned daily routes as directed by the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities.
  • May be required to climb up ladder on truck to inspect loads.

Requirements

  • Completion of high school. Post-secondary courses or diploma would be considered an asset.
  • 1-2 years driving experience in the waste industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of driving experience in a DZ vehicle
  • Experience with Roll Off and Front End vehicles
