The Senior In-House Counsel at ROYAL OTTAWA HEALTH CARE GROUP provides expert legal advice and support to senior leadership, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.

This role involves reviewing and advising on contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, as well as conducting research and analyzing complex legal issues.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing legal advice and guidance to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and advising on contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conducting research and analyzing complex legal issues.
  • Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintaining relationships with external partners, including legal counsel.
  • Supporting the development of a centralized system for maintaining and organizing agreements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to achieve organizational goals.
Requirements:
  • A Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) or Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from a recognized institution.
  • Call to the Bar of Ontario and registration with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare law or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare laws, hospital regulations, and insurance requirements.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
