Produce Department Assistant Manager

Save-On-Foods is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Department Manager to join our team in Westbank, BC. As a key member of our produce department, you will be responsible for leading a team, fostering a positive environment, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of produce department staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and resources to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a customer-first approach.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase team engagement.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking produce to ensure optimal levels and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a produce department.
- Food Safe Certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and achieving sales targets.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Competitive hourly rate: $18.50 - $21.85 per hour.
