About the Role

Sr Partner Data Scientist

Starbucks is seeking a highly skilled Sr Partner Data Scientist to drive business growth through data insights. This role will contribute to the development of our data strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders to modernize and automate partner dashboards and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for People Analytics, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with PRO leadership to translate business needs into actionable analytics initiatives.
  • Assess current resources and data sources, anticipating future requirements for seamless execution.
  • Develop and manage a robust people analytics framework, incorporating industry benchmarks and KPIs.
  • Create data models, dashboards, and reports that provide meaningful insights into key HR metrics and trends.
  • Unravel data stories, drawing connections and insights that illuminate achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Partner with stakeholders to co-create governance models.

Leadership and Business Requirements

  • Set goals for the work group, develop organizational capability, and model teamwork.
  • Identify and communicate key responsibilities and practices to ensure a successful attitude and leadership.
  • Support company programs to ensure business results.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations, establishing governance and security measures.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and departments to integrate people analytics initiatives.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders to adapt analytics strategies.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in analytics, data science, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Data Science, Analytics, or another related field.
  • Proven experience in people analytics, with a focus on building programs from the ground up.
  • Expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, and visualization tools.
  • Thorough understanding of data protection regulations and HR compliance requirements.
  • Change management experience and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
