Location: Various locations across Alberta

Environmental Health Specialists assess and address environmental factors that affect community health and safety. This role is ideal for individuals who want to make a positive impact on public health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and assessments of environmental hazards to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and implement policies to reduce environmental risks and promote a healthy and safe environment.
  • Educate the public about environmental health issues and promote awareness of the importance of environmental health.
  • Collaborate with government agencies and community organizations to develop and implement environmental health initiatives.
  • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and ensure that organizations are meeting their environmental obligations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Experience in environmental health or safety, with a strong understanding of environmental laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
