About the Role

Zoic Studios is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compositor to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our visual effects team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality compositing work and contributing to the development of our workflows and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Composite complex shots and sequences, ensuring high-quality results and meeting creative and technical standards.
  • Develop and maintain custom Nuke toolsets, including Python scripts and Nuke NDK.
  • Collaborate with artists across disciplines to achieve creative and technical goals, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.
  • Establish and share workflows, tools, and best practices to support shot production and Look Development.
  • Maintain aesthetic integrity and technical standards of work, ensuring consistency and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of digital compositing experience, preferably on feature films.
  • Proficiency in Nuke, Nuke Studio/Hiero, and Photoshop, with experience in Linux operating systems.
  • Strong understanding of VFX pipeline fundamentals, including shooting, editorial turnovers, modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, rendering, compositing, and DI.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
What We Offer

Zoic Studios offers a competitive salary range of $45-$65, depending on experience, and a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Please note that this role requires the candidate to be located in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia, and to work onsite in our Vancouver studio. We do not cover relocation costs.
