About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cashier to join our team at AJ TRUCK & AUTO SALES INC. as a Sales Associate - Cash Handling. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register Systems with accuracy and efficiency, processing customer transactions and handling cash, credit, and debit card payments.
  • Process Sales and Returns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Workspace by adhering to company standards and procedures, ensuring that the sales floor and cash handling areas are clean, tidy, and well-organized.
  • Work Collaboratively with Colleagues to achieve sales goals and objectives, providing support and assistance as needed to ensure a positive customer experience.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate or equivalent.
  • Previous Experience in Retail Sales or Cash Handling is an asset, but not required.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands of the Job include standing for long periods, bending, and lifting, as well as working in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
  • Work in a Fast-Paced Retail Environment with a high level of customer traffic and sales activity.
  • Work Under Pressure to meet sales targets and deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent customer service.
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, and Walking throughout the workday, with regular breaks to rest and recharge.
Language and Work Environment
  • English Language Proficiency is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Work in a Team Environment with a focus on collaboration, communication, and mutual respect.
