About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team at Fromages la Chaudière Inc. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from our warehouse to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine Shipping Methods: Research and recommend the most cost-effective and efficient shipping methods for our products.
  • Container Assembly and Inspection: Assemble and inspect containers and crates to ensure they are in good condition and meet our quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing goods, including inventory levels and shipment tracking information.
  • Packing and Shipping: Pack goods to be shipped and ensure they are properly labeled and prepared for transportation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair pallet lifters and other equipment used in the shipping process.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Experience: Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with tight deadlines.
