About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting a wide range of diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, ensuring the confidentiality of patient information, and participating in the development of effective corrective action plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic and interpretive specimen testing, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Perform, interpret, and release test results, maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Identify incidents and non-conformities, participating in corrective action plans and driving continuous improvement.
  • Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new technology.
  • Participate in problem-solving and workflow optimization.
Requirements
  • College diploma or University degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse individuals.
  • Good computer skills and knowledge.
  • Problem-solving skills, including issue identification and follow-up.
  • Ability to maintain strict standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.
