Data Analyst Manager for Deposit Portfolio Growth

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst Manager to join our team at Scotiabank in Toronto, Canada. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering detailed analyses and reporting using various data sources and analytical tools to support critical business initiatives. They will provide measurement and analysis to drive portfolio growth and profitability in the Retail Deposit department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct advanced analytics to inform and enable business strategies
  • Identify portfolio trends and key statistics using statistical analysis
  • Implement pricing strategies for retail deposits to ensure seamless pricing capabilities across channels and customer segments
  • Analyze the flow of funds to guide business with appropriate strategies to reduce internal cannibalisation and retention strategies
  • Provide business support to all areas of Retail Deposits including Business development, Product, Acquisition, and Analytics

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 4+ years of analytical experience, including statistical analysis
  • Detailed experience in two or more programming languages (SQL, SAS, Python)
  • Experience accessing, compiling, and analyzing large volumes of data into usable information
  • Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, and project management skills
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or Statistics
