Recreation Therapy Assistant

At Sienna Senior Living, we're committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. As a Recreation Therapy Assistant, you'll play a critical role in enhancing the lives of our seniors by providing engaging and meaningful activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement recreation and leisure activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create personalized care plans that incorporate therapeutic recreation goals.
- Assist in planning and coordinating community events and outings that promote socialization and community engagement.
- Identify and encourage opportunities for residents to share their skills and knowledge with others.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall well-being of our residents.
- Diploma or degree in Recreation/Leisure studies, Therapeutic Recreation from a recognized college or university.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Long Term Care industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of programming needs for older adults diagnosed with dementia.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
