Senior Transmission and Distribution Engineer

IT UNLOCK CONSULTING INC. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transmission and Distribution Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Transmission and Distribution Lines team, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of engineers, technicians, and support staff to design and deliver efficient and reliable transmission and distribution lines.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team responsible for designing transmission and distribution lines, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Act as a technical project leader or manager, overseeing the design and production of engineering documents for transmission and distribution line projects.
- Prepare models using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE, and design support structures and foundations for transmission and distribution lines.
- Supervise inspections of existing lines and draft reports, and support and oversee the work of engineers, technicians, and drafters to ensure quality.
- Prepare proposals, studies, cost estimates, reports, and plans and specifications.
- Rigorous and meticulous approach to work, with a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Strong sense of responsibility and professional commitment, with leadership skills and a focus on team building, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Ability to adapt to client needs in project execution, with a proactive and independent approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in transmission and distribution lines.
- Relevant structural engineering experience.
- Proficiency in technical writing.
- Knowledge of the PLS-CADD suite of tools.
- Membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Bilingualism (English and French).
