Key Responsibilities- Provide patient-focused care and support to individuals with mental illness and/or addiction disorders
- Participate in the provision of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services
- Escort patients to off-site programs, appointments, and other planned events
- Observe and report any changes in patient behavior, physical, or cognitive status
- Complete and maintain related records and documentation
- Respond to crisis situations and non-judgmentally to problematic behavior
- Develop and implement service plans and advocate for patients
- Ensure patient safety and well-being
- Certificate in Community Social Services - Mental Health and Addictions Worker or equivalent
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification for Health Care Providers
- Knowledge of substance misuse and mental health issues
- Basic understanding of behavior management
- Ability to establish and maintain rapport with patients
- Strong observation skills
- Ability to deal effectively with conflict situations
