Job Title: Truck Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team at Davidson Contract Services. As a Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of commercial transport trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Review work orders and estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Requirements:
  • Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in the field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail
