Job Description

The Senior Animal Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of animal care and operations at Gittens Racing. This includes managing the daily activities of staff, supervising the feeding and housing of animals, and ensuring that all relevant regulations and standards are met.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the animal care team, including scheduling and assigning tasks
  • Ensure that all animals receive proper care and attention, including feeding, grooming, and veterinary care
  • Manage the inventory of feed and supplies, and ensure that all equipment is in good working order
  • Supervise staff and provide guidance and training as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (animal science, biology, equine studies, etc.)
  • At least 5 years of experience in animal care or management
  • Proven ability to lead and manage teams
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires working on-site at Gittens Racing. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be comfortable with the physical demands of the job.
