Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail Operations Supervisor to join our team at Instant Imprints. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about leading and managing teams, as well as developing and implementing effective marketing strategies.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff and assigning duties, studying market research and trends to determine consumer demand, and developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive sales. They will also be responsible for determining staffing requirements, resolving issues that may arise, recruiting, hiring and supervising staff and/or volunteers, and planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating daily operations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage staff and assign duties
  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive sales
  • Determine staffing requirements based on business needs
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  • Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity
What We Offer

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or supervisory role
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions

This role requires working 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime as needed. You will be working in a busy retail environment, interacting with customers and staff on a regular basis.
