About the Role

RTR Terra Contracting Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate Preparation: Prepare comprehensive estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects, including reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Project Cash Flow and Financing: Project cash flow and financing requirements for construction projects, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Tendering Procedures: Advise on tendering procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Cost Monitoring and Reporting: Set up and maintain cost monitoring and reporting systems to track project expenses and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates and project requirements.
Requirements
  • Commercial and Industrial Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial and industrial construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials.
  • Estimating Skills: Proven estimating skills, with the ability to prepare accurate and detailed estimates for complex construction projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in a related field, such as construction management or engineering.
