Senior Estimator Opportunity

Join TalentSphere Staffing Solutions in Burnaby, BC, and take on a challenging role as a Senior Estimator in our Commercial Construction team.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to play a key role in preparing and coordinating estimates for commercial construction projects. As a Senior Estimator, you will work closely with Project Management and Business Development to secure bids and proposals. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing detailed estimates for all design stages
  • Conducting quantity take-offs and estimating costs of materials, labor, and equipment
  • Evaluating and tracking labor pricing and production for specific projects and locations
  • Maintaining the estimating cost database to ensure up-to-date and relevant costs
  • Leading job-specific estimating teams in the assembly and submission of bids

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong cost estimating skills, including breakdowns of assemblies to develop ROMs, budgets, and actual work
  • Ability to develop bid packages for vendors and subcontractors
  • Thorough knowledge of residential single-family, multi-family wood frame construction, and light commercial
  • Strong MS Office suite skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project
