Job Summary

Intuitive Surgical is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Specialist 2 to support our electro-mechanical systems in the field. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing our products, ensuring seamless customer experiences and exceeding service agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electro-Mechanical Systems Expertise
    • Perform scheduled maintenance activities, including system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, and system recalls
    • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electro-mechanical systems, and repair or replace components as needed
    • Coordinate and perform system and hardware delivery and installation
  • Customer Service and Communication
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
    • Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and management to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Administrative and Record-Keeping
    • Complete administrative tasks, including spare parts inventory, field activity reports, return material authorizations, and expense reports
    • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including customer interactions and system performance
  • Travel and Flexibility
    • Travel up to 50% of the time, visiting customer sites and attending training sessions
    • Be flexible with work schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 1-3 years of field service experience, preferably in electro-mechanical systems
    • Associate degree in a related field or equivalent training/experience
  • Skills and Expertise
    • Proven track record of troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • General computer skills and proficiency in software applications
    • Strong administrative and record-keeping skills
  • Working Conditions
    • Able to lift 75 lbs and move wheeled objects up to 1200 lbs
    • Clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competency in Electro-Mechanical Systems
    • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in electro-mechanical systems, preferably in a field service role
  • Additional Skills and Experience
    • Competency in knowledge and implementation of O.R. protocol and HIPAA standards
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
