Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Sun Peaks Grand Hotel & Conference Centre. As a key member of our maintenance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our facilities and equipment, adhering to safety standards, and working collaboratively with colleagues to address operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of facilities and equipment
  • Adhere to safety standards and procedures at all times
  • Work collaboratively with team members to address operational needs and resolve issues
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with the public
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working at heights
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the 4–10-hour shift pattern
  • Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with three days off every week, including long weekends
  • Take advantage of recreational activities such as skiing, snowboarding, biking, golfing, and more during downtime
  • Commit to full-time, year-round permanent employment

Requirements:

  • Authorization to work within Canada
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • High level of experience with technology
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • WHMIS certification preferred
  • Recent Emergency Response Training and current First Aid (OFA-LV1) Training considered an asset
