Job Title: Retail Store Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Genuine Convenience Store. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional customer service.
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to meet the needs of our customers.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage store finances effectively.
- Order merchandise and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Establish work schedules and ensure the store is well-staffed at all times.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient stock management.
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to achieve store goals.
Support for Diversity and Inclusion:
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
- Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
- Provides workspace accommodations, such as age-appropriate ergonomic considerations, to meet the physical needs of mature workers.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.

- Hours: 32 to 35 hours per week
