Qualifications

All Peel District School Board Educational Assistants must have appropriate post-secondary certification in one of the areas outlined below and directly related experience. Suggested qualifications include Advanced Studies in Special Needs, Early Childhood Education, Autism and Behavioural Science, and Behavioural Science Technology.

Candidates must be able to perform the essential physical duties of the position, which may include toileting, lifting, transferring, and personal care. A demonstrated commitment to working in a diverse school community and/or work environment is also required.
