Senior Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in new project sales meetings with potential clients and BD leads
  • Prepare, monitor, and update construction schedules and job costs
  • Prepare, maintain, and update project files
  • Manage owner and consultant-initiated change notices and change orders
  • Request pricing from subcontractors for change notices and process subcontractor change orders
  • Receive, review, and process shop drawings
  • Set up and attend site subcontractor coordination meetings and take minutes and distribute to all parties
  • Set up and attend Owner/Consultant meetings and take minutes and distribute to all parties
  • Assist the Project Estimator in preparing estimates when required
  • Review and approve subcontractor monthly progress draw
  • Prepare monthly progress claims and submit to the Owner for payment
  • Prepare monthly project forecasting
  • Ensure the Site Superintendent has all up-to-date project documents, including drawings, specifications, subcontracts, schedules, and change orders
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to ensure overall coordination of the project
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of previous Project Management experience working on diverse projects
  • University or college diploma in a relevant construction/engineering program
  • Integrated Project Delivery Contract experience an asset
  • Excellent computer skills, including experience using MS Office, Project, Scheduling, and Project Management software
  • Experience in all forms of contracts and delivery
  • Sound knowledge in the review and negotiation of contracts for construction projects, with strong technical, business, financial, and legal acumen
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentations), including the ability to successfully translate technical information to non-technical individuals
  • Experience working with different project delivery methods
  • Exemplary leadership skills, including strong team-building capabilities
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and ability to problem-solve
  • Must have and maintain a valid provincial driver's license
  • Ability to travel on average once a month to visit sites under construction
