Technical Leadership Role for Surveillance Expert

Job Overview
Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced Technical Leader to oversee the quality and efficiency of our video software and hardware products. This role will drive productivity, improve test plans, and mentor a team of professionals.
About You
We are looking for a skilled leader with 5+ years of experience in a Technical Leadership position, combining technical mastery and people management. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, is required. Proficiency in surveillance and security products, Test Automation tools, and frameworks is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure high-quality products.
- Recruit, manage, train, and evaluate the performance of Appliance Test Team personnel.
- Mentor team members to grow their careers and develop new skills.
- Drive productivity and efficiency through automation and metrics.
- Investigate, triage, and replicate reported issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with support, development, and product management teams to solve challenging problems.
- Work with external companies to deliver additional capabilities and capacity to the Appliance Test Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science.
- 5+ years of experience in a Technical Leadership position that combines technical mastery and people management.
- 3+ years of work experience in System Test, Functional Test, and Test Automation.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to thrive under pressure, and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior written and verbal communications skills; comfortable at public speaking and presenting to a large audience.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with surveillance and security products.
- Proven ability to lead and manage testing and quality assurance organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and executing test projects within the SDLC.
- Working experience with Test Automation tools and frameworks.
What We Offer
- A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $140,000 CAD depending on experience.
