Job Summary:

Fastenal is seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for delivering products from our distribution centers to branches and customer on-site locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a safe and well-maintained tractor trailer or straight truck to transport goods across international and provincial borders.
  • Unload freight at each stop along your route, utilizing a handheld scanner to track deliveries.
  • Interact with our shipping and receiving departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Maintain a clean work environment within our equipment and comply with DOT and Fastenal safety regulations.
  • Inspect and report defects or issues in equipment, and participate in activities that promote health, safety, and sustainability.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one.
  • Current Health Card or ability to obtain one.
  • Haz Mat endorsement or ability to obtain one (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam only).
  • Meet Fastenal driving record requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of DOT/MTO regulations.
  • Willingness to drive interstate routes across state lines and cross international and provincial borders.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs. and maneuver up to 150 lbs.
  • Successfully complete required DOT/MTO drug and alcohol screens, road test, employment verification, and background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior driving work experience.
  • Prior experience operating a forklift.
